The aim of Europe Jazz Balance is to ensure a broad and balanced jazz scene, where everyone has the same possibilities regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
This site provides you with concrete advice that can help you as an institution, venue, booker etc., to create a more diverse and balanced music program and organization.
You will be able to increase your awareness and knowledge about the norm-critical approach. Do you know what that is? If not, you will soon. You will also have the opportunity to share your experience — successes and mistakes, with others. Together we will develop this site into a relevant and useful tool for concert promoters, producers and music practitioners.
The website is built in several stages and addresses different issues. Each section includes a lecture and one or two questions for discussion. You can choose to both see the lecture and answer the questions or simply reflect on the issues. Once you have gone through all the steps, send your answers to us.
